Sorrento

Sorrento

This Sorrento Kitchen renovation was completed for a young family seeking a lighter, more open and highly functional living environment. The brief focused on improving flow throughout the home, creating better connection between living spaces and designing a Kitchen better suited to everyday family life and entertaining.

A key part of the renovation involved removing the walls between the existing Kitchen and Dining to create a seamless open plan layout. The Kitchen footprint was expanded into the former Dining, allowing for a much larger Island Bench and improved circulation throughout the space. The layout was also reconfigured to incorporate a walk-in Butler’s Pantry, providing additional storage while allowing the main Kitchen to remain open, refined and uncluttered.

At the centre of the design is a structured Island Bench with curved edges and fluted travertine flutes, introducing texture and a softer, feel to the space. Crisp white cabinetry, brushed brass tapware and soft timber flooring create a calm coastal palette, perfectly suited to the home’s Sorrento location. Integrated appliances and clean-lined finishes maintain a streamlined aesthetic, while natural textures and warm materials bring depth and character to the overall design.

The result is a Kitchen that feels open, cohesive and highly considered, balancing functionality with a relaxed coastal aesthetic that feels timeless, inviting and highly liveable.
