DOUBLEVIEW

This Bathroom and Laundry renovation in Doubleview was completed for clients seeking a calm, cohesive and long-lasting update to two key utility spaces. With a clear brief for both style and layout, we focused on improving functionality, flow and overall usability.

This renovation centred on rethinking the Bathroom layout to create a more resolved space that aligned with the client’s brief. The previous layout lacked flow and made poor use of the room’s footprint, so we introduced a wet-room layout, added a nib wall for and removed an existing door opening to simplify circulation. With these foundations established, we focused on materiality and detailing that would deliver a balanced and enduring result. Vertical white tiles provide subtle texture, brass tapware adds warmth and contrast, and light timber cabinetry grounds the palette.

The Laundry adopts the same design brief for a unified outcome. The existing layout worked well, so the focus shifted to storage, usability and visual cohesion. New cabinetry was designed to maximise storage without visually impacting the proportions of the room integrating appliances and providing a dedicated benchtop to support daily tasks. The vertical tiled splashback and brass fittings mirror the Bathroom selections for consistency.

Together, the Bathroom and Laundry now feel cohesive, functional and refined, meeting the clients’ brief while elevating daily living through thoughtful planning, durable materials and restrained detailing.
